Crazy Taxi is a simulation game in which players assume the role as a taxi driver whose mission is to deliver passengers to their destination. More passengers you get , more money you earned. In this game there is a time limit for the selection of the game each time. The way we play is a taxi that was driving looking for passengers to be delivered, then the passenger provide location information of interest. Then, in the game will be awarded points towards the direction of the arrow. Atmosphere highway described in this game, very much like the original. There are a lot of people and other cars around us, so we can feel how the atmosphere of the street when we drive. This game is very fun to play.
Crazy Taxi 1 and 2 is a video game published by Sega entertainment and was released for the Sega Dreamcast platform. The game was originally released for arcades in 1999, but was later ported to Sega Dreamcast in the year 2000. It was later ported to Playstation 2 and Nintendo GameCube in 2001 as well. Crazy Taxi is considered a classic game by Sega, and is one of the best games for the Sega Dreamcast of all time.
The game is based in California, which is why the weather is always so nice in the game, and is said to be based specifically on San Francisco, due to the steep hills, and other difficult turns, etc. The main objective of the game is to pick up as many customers as possible, to increase earnings for your taxi. You must also take them to their destination as fast as possible, which there is a counter of time you have left. The faster you get the person to their destination, the more money you usually receive. You can also get bonuses for driving safely, but fast at the same time, meaning that you move around cars, but just miss them or don’t hit them. There is a large green arrow at the top of the screen, which allows you to get easy directions as to where you have to bring the customer. If you cannot get the person to their destination in the time limit, the person leaves the taxi, and gives you a bad rating, meaning you’ve wasted your time on the clock trying to drive this person somewhere, and must find another customer. The other three ratings are Speedy, normal, and slow, and the better your rating.
When starting the game, you can decide to play for three, five, or ten minute sessions. There is also an “arcade rules” option, where you start off with about a minute of time, and then you get bonus time added for speedy deliveries. This way, if you’re good enough at the game, you can continue playing until you’re unable to get time added on, and run out of time, as it gets progressively harder the longer you play.
There is also Crazy Box Mode, which is really just a bunch of mini games, which are actually pretty fun. I used to love playing this game as a kid, and writing about it now makes me wish I still had a Sega Dreamcast. If you still have a console that plays this game, I highly recommend it, as I used to love playing this game.
